Rocket Hamster
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Meet the first experiment to launch a hamster to the moon!
Gary is your average hamster. He does what all hamsters do. Eat. Sleep. Poo. And wait to be picked by the great and powerful hands. Today was Bobby's day to be picked.
Make sure to get Hammy to the moon safely!
note: this feature (Story Mode) is not yet a part of this game, Soon™
Changelog:
Note: these are previous;
- Revamped code (movement, scoring, etc.)
- Planes are a thing! The engines of the planes are now functional, and will allow you to die in the air, so watch out!
- Changed to OpenGL 3.0 (This means that there will not be a web build, you'll have to download it for your appropriate machine.)
- The whole game...
Note: these are new;
- Fixed an issue with the "Game Over" screen carrying over into the main menu
- No icon on Windows, it's a long process and I literally just made the build at 9:45 PM on November 15 (dating for people from the future)
Coming Soon:
- Options Menu
- Skins
- Story Mode
- Enemies
- A LAUNCHER! (to be put simply, I want bugs to be fixed and features implemented fast and quickly for you guys, so a launcher is in development)

Sorry about the wall of text, but please read!
I, as a developer, believe that one person cannot do everything. Well, even in believing that, 'Verity Games' is not a team, but rather one person. Sure, I have artists, but I do about 99% of the work. Before the end of July, things were going great for this game. Sure, some unconventional things caused me many, many issues, but it was in a good place. Then tragedy struck. I had to start from scratch. Sure, I had all the assets, but that doesn't deny the fact that every last piece of code I've written was down the drain. Although the idea of completely redoing it scared me, considering I work alone, I was okay with it. I mean, if you look at the old code you can see an inexperienced developer who has no clue what he was doing. Now I have somewhat of a clue, and I am really happy with how far it's come. I know that you're thinking "What does this have to do with being a one-man team?", nothing, I just wanted to talk about my experience and the idea of not giving up. However, I do need your help. You don't have to be a developer, and no, I'm not asking for money, I am asking that any bugs you find be reported on GitHub (also linked below), this will help speed development along a lot and allow me to better myself as a developer. Thank you for your support. I love you guys.
